WEDNESDAY EVENING, OCTOBER 6
STAY IN OR OUT ON THE TOWN
After the first full day of conference, attendees will have the option to explore all that the Guest House at Graceland has to offer or enjoy dinner and perhaps an evening out in Memphis.
Downtown Memphis and Beale Street are perennially popular destinations and are within easy reach for thanks to the Guest House’s shuttle service ($5 per trip). Beale Street comprises three downtown blocks of restaurants, shops and, famously, a musical melting pot of delta blues, jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, R&B and gospel in the heart of downtown Memphis. This National Historic Landmark district shares its rich history of legendary live music through museums, photo ops, and venues for those making music in Memphis today. There are, of course, an array of Memphis destinations worth seeking out beyond Beale Street:
There is likewise no shortage of ways to spend an evening at the Guest House at Graceland, including dining at onsite restaurants and catching the nightly Elvis movie at the Guest House’s 464-seat theater:
