Conference 2022: Evening Out

American Sign Museum

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
OPTIONAL EVENING OUT: $80

CONFERENCE 2022: AMERICAN SIGN MUSEUM – YOUTUBE

After the first full day of conference, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the American Sign Museum, which is dedicated to the art and history of commercial signs and sign making. The American Sign Museum is the largest public museum dedicated to signs in the United States! Covering more than 100 years of American sign history in 20,000 square feet of indoor space, the museum is a walk through the ages of technology and design. A self-guided tour is available to maximize the museum experience!

Our visit will also include a catered dinner featuring delicious Cincinnati-style barbecue. A scavenger hunt will complete our “night at the museum.”

In promoting preservation and restoration, the sign museum preserves and protects American history and pays homage to the artistry and craftsmanship of days gone by. The storefront-laden Signs on Main Street display recreates a typical “Main Street USA”, with shop windows full of sign-related objects, curiosities, and samples. The past is present at Neonworks of Cincinnati, the full-time neon workshop located inside the museum where visitors can see tube-benders working their craft by making signs for sign companies today.

Round trip bus transportation, museum admission, and dinner are included in the $80 outing fee. To reserve your place, simply select the “Evening Out” option when registering for conference.
