Joan Chittister, OSB, will appear on SuperSoul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey on OWN this Sunday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. ET/PT to discuss her new book, The Time is Now: A Call for Uncommon Courage.

Sister Joan, who in October will deliver the keynote address at CWR’s 25th anniversary conference, joins SuperSoul Sunday for a powerful conversation that will also be available online beginning Monday, May 27 at www.oprah.com/app/super-soul-sunday.html.

A “First Look” preview excerpt of the interview is available now at www.oprah.com/own-super-soul-sunday/first-look-oprah-and-sister-joan-chittister.

On SuperSoul Sunday, Sister Joan defines what it means to be a prophet in today’s world and challenges us to combat complacency and apathy in our own lives. Rather than wait for others to solve the problems of inequality, injustice and poverty, Sister Joan explains why it is both our moral and spiritual responsibility to take action ourselves and make the world a better place for all.

This year’s CWR conference will be held October 1-4 in Mesa, Arizona. Since CWR’s founding in 1994, the annual conference has drawn communicators from around the globe to share ideas, spread awareness of emerging communication trends and support one another in the ministry of communication. Further information on the conference can be found at www.c4wr.org/conference/conference-2019/.
