Encountering Earth: Reclaiming the Human in the Web of Life Workshop Series with Sister Linda Neil, CSJ

This  reflective workshop at White Violet Center for Eco-Justice at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence, will help participants become more mindful of Earth issues and how these issues may be addressed in this time of ecological crises. Each of the three parts weaves the information together in a presentation with art, music, literature and personal and group reflection to create presentations that will help the participants create a deeper awareness of the Earth, her systems and creatures.

Participants will:

  • reflect on our sense of place in our solar system, bioregion and watershed
  • grow in understanding the New Story and its implications for living in the community of life
  • deepen their understanding of the evolutionary process
  • become aware of living in the Ecozoic Era as an invitation to live sustainably
  • reflect on some of the powers of the universe and how we can live them out in our lives
  • experience the meaning of living bioregionally

The workshop begins with supper at 5 p.m. (EDT) Thursday, July 11 and ends at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 14. Cost: $350 includes room and board/$230 commuter. Registration deadline: July 1. For more information, contact Robyn Morton at 812-535-2932 or rmorton@spsmw.org.
