As of January 1, 2025 CWR will formally be associated with LCWR. Moving out of the former non-profit organizational structure frees CWR from some of the binding bylaws structures and allows for more flexibility and participation from our active communicators to get involved.
Through this 2024 transition year, the CWR board was hard at work developing a structure to keep CWR programming vibrant long into the future. While our committee names may change, CWR will continue to provide professional networking and education to hundreds of members who communicate and advance the mission and ministries of women religious.
During Conference 2024, Joanne Gallagher, CSJ, led us in a moving ritual to recognize the people and energies that have enriched CWR, and to celebrate the unfolding association of CWR and LCWR.
“We come together not merely to combine our resources and expand our reach, but to create something greater than the sum of our parts and weave our many stories together. With LCWR we seek to embrace a new chapter in our shared history, one that is rooted in the wisdom of our past and shapes us as one body with the promise of a bright future.”
