Kimberly will speak on the topic, “Harboring Hope: Journeying Together with Synodality, Solidarity, and Subsidiarity.” Through their examples of encounter and accompaniment in their ministries, women religious harbor hope. The Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life spotlights this hope and the vital leadership of women religious in our dialogues and gatherings. Kimberly will share her observations of how Catholic sisters model synodality by actively listening to their communities, how they recognize one human family and promote solidarity through collective care and action, and how they embrace the principle of subsidiarity, so that marginalized voices are amplified to offer solutions in local communities.
