National Catholic Reporter
Last week, the National Catholic Reporter launched Global Sisters Report, an online reporting project that gives greater voice to Catholic sisters around the world.
Through its web site, GlobalSistersReport.org, the project brings together a worldwide network of editors and reporters. The site also features columns from sisters themselves, designed to highlight the diverse ministries in which sisters are active.
In addition to producing original reporting, Global Sisters Report will publish columns, blogs and multimedia features intended to present a realistic portrait of Catholic sisters in a changing world. Resources and opportunities for dialogue will allow sisters to build and enhance their own communication networks.
The project is funded by a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and is the first reporting initiative dedicated exclusively to Catholic sisters.
