REPORT FROM THE BOARD: MARCH 2024 MEETING

The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on March 28. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:

Chair Dusty Krikau reported that CWR’s final Conrad N. Hilton Foundation grant report was submitted to the Hilton Foundation prior to the February 29 deadline.

The Board approved a change to CWR Policies & Procedures authorizing CWR staff to pay for any expenditures included in the annual CWR budget and calling for Board approval of any unbudgeted expenditures greater than $500. The change brings Policies & Procedures into alignment with the terms of the CWR Staff/Board Jurisdiction Agreement.

Conference Planning Committee Co-chairs Maureen Falcon and Kim Westerman outlined plans for the launch of registration for the 2024 CWR Conference. In addition, The Board confirmed registration fees for this year’s conference would remain unchanged.

Membership Committee Co-chairs Carrie Higginbotham and Gina Sullivan noted that they will participate in the April 17 virtual new member mixer and will facilitate future mixers.

Education Committee Co-chair Amanda Hacket detailed plans for a pair of CWR Academy webinars to be held in April: An April 16 collaboration with Archivists for Congregations of Women Religious and an April 23 session presented in partnership with Kino Border Initiative.

The Board next meets on April 25.
