The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on Thursday, March 24. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:
Sr. Beth Murphy led the opening prayer, during which Board members watched and shared reflections on an excerpt from the video interview Friendship Salvation with Father Pico.
The Board scheduled biweekly strategic planning meetings for April through June.
CWR Executive Director Ginny Hizer and Business Operations Manager Michelle Izguerra updated the Board on the site selection process for the 2023 and 2024 CWR conferences.
Results of Board member personality assessments focusing on group development were reviewed.
Ginny Hizer reported that the recently concluded 2022 Catholic Sisters Week campaign proved successful with more than 100 events held. The CWR Marketing Committee, chaired by Stacy Spitler, was thanked for its work on the Catholic Sisters Week campaign.
Ginny Hizer also reported that the launch of the 2022 CWR conference scholarship program was imminent.
Conference 2022 Committee Co-Chair Siobhan O’Neill Meluso informed the Board that almost all conference speaker slots have been filled.
Certificate Program Task Group Chair Deena Swank noted that the group’s next step will be to develop the program’s curriculum.
The meeting concluded after a review of progress made on action items that arose from the February Board meeting, including holding a virtual “Flash Conversation” for CWR members on Laudato Si’, making content updates to the CWR website and facilitating easier access to Board documents.
The Board next meets April 28 via videoconference.
