REPORT FROM THE BOARD: NOVEMBER 2023 MEETING
The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on November 16. Current Board members were joined by incoming 2024 members Margaret Haik, Carrie Higginbotham, and Redmond Reilly, who attended the meeting as guests. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:
During her finance report, Treasurer Tammy Townsend Denny noted that CWR’s annual financial audit has been successfully completed.
The Board approved its 2024 meeting schedule, which will begin with an on-site meeting January 30-31 at the Well Spirituality Center in La Grange Park, Illinois. The Board will also meet in person at October’s CWR conference in Chicago. All other meetings will be virtual.
The Board also approved plans for a task group to coordinate the celebration of CWR’s 30th anniversary at its 2024 conference.
Conference 2024 Committee Chair Maureen Falcon reported that the recent addition of new members has brought the committee to full strength.
Director of Membership and Communication Brian Lavelle informed the Board that the response rate for the 2023 conference evaluation survey was on par with prior years.
Like its November meeting, the Board’s December videoconference is being held one week early: The Board convenes on Thursday, December 21 due to the Christmas holiday.
