The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on Thursday, May 26. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:

During the meeting’s opening prayer, the Board reflected on “Focused” by Juan Carlos Gómez.

Chair Kim Westerman noted that month-by-month communication planning has been added to the 12-month overview of Board and staff functions. As the overview is a living document, Board members were encouraged to add communication tasks for their respective committees as necessary.

CWR Executive Director Ginny Hizer reported on participation in recent CWR virtual educational offerings, including: CWR Academy webinars on major gift fundraising (April 27) and promoting messages against opposition (May 11); a CWR Flash Conversation on videography (April 26); and the 2022 CWR Ireland Conference (April 30).

Conference 2022 Committee Co-Chair Siobhan O’Neill Meluso updated the Board on the May 19 opening of conference registration.

Membership Committee Co-Chairs Dusty Krikau and Alison Lucci reviewed plans for the 2022 CWR member satisfaction survey.

Sr. Beth Murphy shared the plan developed by the Regional/Resource Groups Committee for providing key resources to individual CWR regional and resource groups.

The Board also conducted its monthly review of action items identified during the prior meeting.
