The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on February 22. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:
Chair Dusty Krikau noted that CWR’s final Conrad N. Hilton Foundation grant report would be submitted in time to meet the February 29 deadline.
Immediate Past Chair Kim Westerman reported on plans made in collaboration with Dominican University faculty for students from Dominican’s School of Information Studies to organize CWR archives. The Board approved a motion to hire two part-time student interns for the project.
Director of Membership and Communication Brian Lavelle provided an update on upcoming CWR educational offerings, including a March Flash Conversation focused on development and a webinar to be held in collaboration with Archivists for Congregations of Women Religious.
Education Committee Co-chair Amanda Hackett outlined final preparations for the second cohort of the Strategic Communications Certificate presented by CWR Academy, which will launch in the spring.
Maureen Falcon informed the Board that Kim Westerman had joined Maureen as co-chair of the 2024 Conference Planning Committee.
Marketing Committee Co-chair Stacy Spitler updated the Board on preparations for Catholic Sisters Week (March 8-14), including the posting and distribution of updated promotional animation videos.
The Board next meets on March 28.
