We are so looking forward to seeing you in Charm City for the 2026 conference as we “Harbor Hope” together, October 13 – 16. The CWR conference is a unique professional education and networking opportunity tailored specifically for communicators, development staff, and justice promoters who work on behalf of women religious. Join us!

Kimberly Mazyck, associate director of the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life at Georgetown University, will deliver the conference keynote address, “Harboring Hope: Journeying Together with Synodality, Solidarity, and Subsidiarity.”

The host hotel for this year’s conference is the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor. The hotel is within convenient walking distance of area restaurants, museums, historic landmarks like the Basilica of the Assumption, America’s First Cathedral, and attractions like the National Aquarium or Camden Yards.

IMPORTANT! We kindly request that you become a member of CWR prior to registering for the conference. 

CWR membership is free and helps ensure that conference attendees have a legitimate connection to women religious and are aligned with CWR’s mission. Also, as a small, volunteer-led member organization without dedicated staff support, we seek to streamline our administrative processes as much as possible. Requiring membership streamlines communication, registration tracking, and follow-up. The only automatic communication new members will receive is through Mailchimp, which typically includes conference-related updates and our periodic newsletter. Individuals may unsubscribe at any time.

Your registration fee covers all conference speakers, workshops, Welcome Reception (Tues evening), breakfast buffet (Wed, Thu, Fri), lunch buffet  (Wed, Thu), and coffee breaks.

EVENINGS

  • Conference kicks off with the Welcome Reception presented by the Congregation of St. Joseph on Tuesday evening, October 13.
  • On Wednesday evening, our Evening Out is presented by the Felician Sisters of North America. We will form teams of intrepid explorers and embark on a scavenger hunt of the Inner Harbor to uncover the rich history of Charm City while earning points for our team. We’ll return to the hotel for food, drinks, and prizes. In case of inclement weather, we’ll stay inside the hotel.
  • Thursday evening attendees have a free evening to sample the dining, cultural, and entertainment options available in downtown Baltimore.
