Krista J. Stockman, APR, pHCLE, is the Director of Communication & Marketing for Fort Wayne Community Schools, the largest traditional public school district in Indiana. She spent 10 years as a newspaper journalist before joining FWCS in 2007 as the Public Information Officer. Her focus as a communication professional is to promote transparency and storytelling through strategic planning. She is skilled in crisis communication, having dealt with numerous immediate and emerging crisis situations in her 30 years as a professional communicator. 

Krista has earned the Accreditation in Public Relations and certification as a Professional Human Capital Leader in Education. She is in her second term as president of the Indiana School Public Relations Association and the Mideast Representative on the National School Public Relations Association APR Committee. Krista is married to Dan Stockman and co-authored with him their 2022 adoption memoir, “Finding Felicity.” They have two adult children and two adorable greyhounds.
