Donna Schmeichel, Communications Director, Sisters of the Holy Cross

Donna Schmeichel is a California native who migrated to the Midwest in 2015. A former small business owner, Donna ran a marketing firm providing services and coaching in a small mountain town in California for over a decade. Prior to that, she was the Director of Marketing for a regional office of Lincoln Financial Group. In 2017, she became the communications director for Saint Mary’s College and was then invited to apply to the Sisters of the Holy Cross when the same position became open in 2020. Donna and her husband, Keith, built their home just north of Indiana in southern Michigan where together they love to garden, cook and spend time with friends and family. When she’s not outdoors on a hike or bike ride, you’ll find Donna sewing and quilting or keeping busy with some sort of art project.
