The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on Thursday, December 15. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:
Gina Sullivan led the meeting’s opening prayer, Joy – Prayer for the Third Week of Advent.
The Board approved the 2023 CWR Budget.
Board members who attended an early December LCWR convening (An Exploratory Conversation with Organizations that Resource and Serve Religious Life) reported that taking part in the event was, overall, quite beneficial. It was also noted that the challenges and opportunities faced by many of the other organizations that participated in the conversation are similar to those CWR faces.
Conference 2023 Committee liaison Siobhan O’Neill Meluso informed the Board that the committee’s current primary focus is confirming conference speakers.
Marketing Committee chair Stacy Spitler updated the Board on the upcoming CWR Flash Conversation, “Planning & Resources For Catholic Sisters Week”.
Outgoing Board member Sr. Beth Murphy was thanked for her service while on the Board.
The Board’s next meeting will be in person, from January 23-25 in Glenview, Illinois.
