Whether you create newsletters, articles, ads or appeals, story and layout matter. They are the twin pillars of successful communication. At their best, they present a compelling, coherent, understandable message. At their worst, they remain unread.

This June 17 webinar shares tips to strengthen both story and design to attract and retain readership, no matter what your project. This session, like all CWR Academy webinars, was recorded and is available on the CWR member website.

Your hosts, Susan Flansburg and Chris Mandle, have worked together for 10 years to create strong communications in print and online for many nonprofit organizations, including women religious, parishes and schools, universities and hospitals.

Susan served for 17 years as communications director for the Benedictine Sisters of Rock Island, and has maintained her CWR membership while serving other communities across the country and Canada. Among other projects, she currently is writing a vocation guidebook for women discerning their religious vocation.

Chris has enjoyed the past 15 years working with both for-profit clients and within the Catholic niche of parishes, schools, communities, and non-profits. In college he was a double major in graphic design and theology which seemed like a really odd combination at the time until he discovered the need that many Catholic organizations and communities have to e-vangelize!
