The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on Thursday, December 9. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:
The current CWR Board was joined at the meeting by incoming 2022 Board members Dusty Krikau; Alison Lucci; Elena Miranda; Beth Murphy, OP; Stacy Spitler and Gina Sullivan.
The opening prayer led by CWR Executive Director Ginny Hizer included reflections on 2 Corinthians 3:18.
In her Executive Committee report, Chair Jane Strittmatter confirmed that Executive Committee members would continue to serve as liaisons to CWR committees and task groups. The 2022 Executive Committee will be comprised of Chair Kim Westerman; Vice Chair Siobhan O’Neill Meluso; Corporate Secretary Patricia Lenihan, RSC; Treasurer Tammy Townsend Denny; and Immediate Past Chair Jane Strittmatter.
CWR Executive Director Ginny Hizer previewed sponsorship plans for CWR Conference 2022 in Cincinnati.
Treasurer Jane Merry outlined revisions to the proposed 2021 CWR budget and reviewed the status of CWR investments.
Siobhan O’Neill Meluso provided an update on the Conference 2022 Planning Committee’s progress in securing conference speakers.
Marketing Committee Chair Spalding Hurst summarized the committee’s plans for promoting Catholic Sisters Week 2022.
The December meeting was the final such gathering for outgoing Board members Tricia Buxton; Rob Cogswell; Joanne Gallagher, CSJ; Spalding Hurst; Maxine Kollasch, IHM; Stéphanie Manseau and Jean Merry. We thank all of our departing colleagues for their dedication and hard work while serving on the Board. Their commitment to our organization and profession is evident in the many hours of service they generously and graciously provided.
The Board next meets January 26-27 in Chicago.
