The CWR Board of Directors met via videoconference on April 27. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that meeting:
Siobhan O’Neill Meluso provided the meeting’s opening reflection, “Take, Lord, Receive,” by John Foley, SJ, as performed by Martin Doman.
The Board thanked departing Director of Operations Michelle Izguerra for her contributions during her time with CWR. The April gathering was Michelle’s final CWR Board meeting before starting a new position with a Chicago-based non-profit organization.
Chair Kim Westerman reviewed changes to CWR’s Bylaws drafted to remove reference to the executive director position and requested Board members share any further suggestions for Bylaw revisions by May 15. The Board will vote on suggested changes at its May meeting before revised Bylaws are presented for a member approval vote at October’s CWR conference in St. Louis.
Kim also informed the Board that she, Michelle, and Board members Siobhan O’Neill Meluso, Dusty Krikau and Sr. Marie Stuart met on April 26 with Patrizia Morgante, the communication officer for the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), to plan potential future collaboration between CWR and UISG.
Director of Membership and Communication Brian Lavelle reported on registration and sponsorship for the April 22 CWR Ireland conference.
CWR Conference 2023 Planning Committee liaison Siobhan O’Neill Meluso requested the Board’s input in finalizing the conference schedule.
2024 Conference Committee Chair Caelie Haines noted that the committee held its inaugural meeting on April 19.
The Board will next meet on May 25 via videoconference.
