The CWR Board of Directors met in Memphis, Tennessee, immediately prior to the opening of the 2021 CWR Annual Conference on Tuesday, October 5. In the interest of keeping members informed, we present highlights from that gathering:
The current CWR Board was joined at the meeting by 2022 Board nominees Dusty Krikau; Alison Lucci; Elena Miranda; Beth Murphy, OP; and Stacy Spitler (nominee Gina Sullivan was unable to attend the meeting).
CWR Executive Director Ginny Hizer shared reflections on Nehemiah 9:19 while leading the opening prayer.
Ginny Hizer updated the Board on conference attendance during her Executive Director’s report.
Conference 2021 Planning Committee Chair Kim Westerman reported on plans to convert workshops originally scheduled for conference that would now not be held in Memphis to post-conference webinars.
The Board reviewed CWR’s progress toward fulfilling the organization’s strategic plan for 2020 through 2022.
Conference 2022 Planning Committee Co-Chair Siobhan O’Neill Meluso outlined plans to announce the site of the 2022 conference – Cincinnati – during the 2021 conference.
The Board voted to approve a slate of 2022 Board officers consisting of Kim Westerman (Chair); Siobhan O’Neill Meluso (Vice Chair); Tammy Townsend Denny (Treasurer); and Patricia Lenihan, RSC (Corporate Secretary).
The Board also set its 2022 meeting schedule.
The Board will next meet November 11 via videoconference.
